Dear GGS,
There have been rumors na walang tubig yung hose, so far this was made false by the fire department.
There have been rumors that it was arson, but so far only one resident have been interviewed. So let's not go there at all.
However, if you know something, come forward, or let the Admin and me know in tandem, and we will figure it out together. But at the moment, let us wait for the investigation to run through its course, so that we do not cause further alarm.
But rest asured, we are going to implement the RA 9211 provision on the stairwells, which declares smoking in such a confined space illegal, so much that it has corresponding penalties and jail time... If resolved in the Board, anyone caught or reported will be given a pro-forma warning, and so on and so forth. So practice smoking elsewhere beginning now...
The padlocking of the chutes has begun. Please be patient if in case mejo nahuhuli sa pagsara at pagbukas ng basurahan ninyo ang mga guards natin. Sa umpisa, talagang may glitches =) Just be patient.
More importantly, say something!
Further, the chutes have been cleaned, though I know the stench remains. Give it time. The insurance reps have been notified. Hopefully, for residents of cluster 6, we will know something official this week, and then we can all go back to our own regular routines.
To those units which have been damaged- and there are- please be patient with the claims. Our admin is still in the tail-end of the two-week safety and maintenance inspection. After that, hopefully, all hands will be available to attend to you on a most-serious-first-priority basis.
Now, to those who are civil engineers, or are related to some, or are curious to know what is the structural integrity of the garbage chute of cluster 6 after the fire, the STRUCTURAL ENGINEER from the MENGUITO BUILDERS is/are coming over to take a look at the leaning buildings (cluster 6/7 and 1/2) on the 20th. This visit will also include checking the garbage chute.
I do not know how the latter is going to work out, given that all traces of the fire have now been washed up, but then I am not an engineer, like most of you. So, if in case you have an understanding of these matters, or know someone within the community who are, please be vigilant, and enlist additional pertinent questions. Our structural engineer is Engr. Rogelio Menguito and his son, Engr. Jay. Whoever knows them, well, then, that is at least something...
I hope that these information gives you peace of mind somehow.
See you all on the 26th, Sunday @ The Clubhouse, 2PM onwards =)
Very truly yours,
River
